My Cornetto Trilogy Drinking Game

Back in 2014, my friend Hindi and I decided to make a Cornetto Trilogy themed drinking game that we could play during one film, or all three. It’s a doozy, and Edgar Wright has said he does “NOT recommend this to anyone” — so play at your own risk!

The “We’re Gonna Make It To The World’s End If It Kills Us” Drinking Game

• General Cornetto Trilogy Rules (these apply for all 3 films):
  • Drink every time someone drinks on screen
  • Drink whenever Spaced is referenced
  • Drink whenever there is significant foreshadowing
  • Drink whenever there’s a quick cut montage
  • Drink every time Simon & Nick’s characters act like boyfriends
  • Drink whenever Simon’s characters argue with Bill Nighy’s
  • Take a shot when you see / hear Edgar Wright’s cameos
  • Take a shot every time they say “cunt”
  • Take a shot when there’s a supporting actor from Spaced on screen
  • Finish your drink whenever someone jumps a fence (or attempts it)
  • Finish your drink if there’s a cornetto on screen
  • Finish your drink every time a major character dies (or appears to die)
• Shaun Of The Dead Specific Rules:
  • Drink every time someone uses the “zed word”
  • Drink every time they mention The Winchester
  • Drink whenever it’s mentioned that Shaun has red on him
• Hot Fuzz Specific Rules:
  • Drink every time Nicholas Angel suspects murder
  • Drink whenever “The Greater Good” is mentioned
  • Drink whenever Danny gets a police phrase wrong and is corrected by Nicholas 
• The World’s End Specific Rules:
  • Drink every time they say the films name
  • Drink when you spot the hidden number for each pub
  • Drink for every “Let’s Boo Boo!”
  • Drink every time someone says “WTF”

BONUS!! Cornetto Themed Drinks:

• Shaun of the Dead: Frozen Strawberry Daiquiris 
  • You Need: 
    • 3 cups sliced strawberries 
    • 1 cup white rum
    • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice 
    • 1 (12-ounce) can limeade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
    • 1 cup crushed ice
    • 6 lime slices (optional) 
  • Preparation: Place first 4 ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Add ice; process until smooth. Serve immediately; garnish with lime slices, if desired.
• Hot Fuzz: Hot Fudge Bourbon Milkshakes
  • You Need:
    • 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 ounces bourbon
    • 1/2 cup hot fudge + 2 tablespoons
  • Preparation: At the bottom of each glass, add 2-3 tablespoons of hot fudge. In a blender, combine milk, ice cream, vanilla extract, bourbon and about 1/4 cup of hot fudge. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream + a another tablespoon of hot fudge.
• The World’s End: Frozen Mint Twist
  • You Need:
    • 1 1/2 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
    • 1/2 oz. Crème de Cacao (White)
    • 1 cup crushed ice
    • 3 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
    • Green food coloring
  • Preparation: Blend all ingredients until smooth.
